A Trigger Counting Mechanism for Ring Topology
Consider a distributed system with n processors, which receive triggers from the outside world. The Distributed Trigger Counting (DTC) problem is to raise an alarm if the number of triggers over the system reaches w, which is an user specified input. DTC is used as a primitive operation in many applications, such as distributed monitoring, global snapshot etc. In this paper, we propose an algor...
متن کاملCombining Ring Extensions and Canonical Form Pruning
A common problem in frequent graph mining is the size of the output, which can easily exceed the size of the database to analyze. In the application area of molecular fragment mining a promising approach to tackle this problem is to treat certain substructures as a unit. Among such structures, rings are most prominent, and by requiring that either a ring is present as a whole in a fragment, or ...
متن کاملEstimating the size of a Chord ring
The Chord system is a decentralized peer-to-peer mechanism designed to store and search key/value pairs. The peers in a Chord overlay network are represented on a circle, whereas each peer has to maintain log 2 (n) neighbors to guarantee a stable overlay structure in the presence of high churn rates. A single peer, however, does not know the current size n of the Chord ring. Choosing a constant...
متن کاملStability and hyperstability of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivations and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphisms on $C^*$-algebras
In this paper, we investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias and the Isac and Rassias-type stability of the conditional of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivation and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphism on $C^*$-algebras. As a consequence of this, we prove the hyperstability of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivation and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphism on $C^*$-algebras.
متن کاملFunctions for Estimating Stem Diameter and Tree Age Using Tree Height, Crown Width and Existing Stand Database Information
The aim was to investigate the relations between diameter at breast height and maximum crown diameter, tree height and other possible independent variables available in stand databases. Altogether 76 models for estimating stem diameter at breast height and 60 models for tree age were formulated using height and maximum crown diameter as independent variables. These types of models can be utiliz...
